Each sky texture has two maps, one with and one without a sun. This gives you the option of including the sun in the panoramic sky image or placing a light in the approx position of the sun and fine tuning flare controls for your light in your 3d application to mimic the sun size and flare options you require for your scene. Using a light in the position of the sun will also cast shadows into your scenes as though from the sun in the sky image.
These textures should be mapped to a sky dome in your scene with standard cylindrical mapping on the Y axis using automatic texture sizing.

Each sky texture has two maps, one with and one without a sun. This gives you the option of including the sun in the panoramic sky or placing a light in the approx position of the sun and fine tuning flare controls for your sunlight in your 3d application to mimic the sun size and flare options you require for your scene. Using a light in the position of the sun will also cast shadows into your scenes as though they are from the sun.
These textures should be mapped to a sky dome in your scene with standard cylindrical mapping on the Y axis using automatic texture sizing. The texture values should be set to 100% on the colour or luminosity channels and have zero diffuse shading so that normal scene lighting will not effect the skydome object and texture. The polygons of the skydome should be facing inward toward your scene, so that the texture is visible. The dome should be sized larger than your scene space. A skydome object in .3ds format is included with the pack for use if you don't already have one. Textures will need to be apllied to it as above in your own software.
If you want to use your own light instead of the sun image in the map it is recommended that you first texture the dome with the sky image of your choice that includes the sun. You will then be able to line up your light to match the sun in the image, and once in place you can swap this image for the one that has no sun, and use your scene light to act as the sun according to your own preferences.
